CONDITION
This 1961 Austin-Healey Sprite "Bugeye" Mk I is a rare survivor from the final year of production and delivers the pure, lightweight roadster experience these cars are known for. It is an honest older restoration that has aged well, presenting nicely while still being a car you can confidently drive and enjoy. Mechanically, the engine pulls strong and the gearbox shifts smoothly, making it ready for backroad driving today, and the gearbox has synchronized meshing in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The body and chassis are remarkably solid for the age, with minimal rust present on the driver-side floor pan, while the overall structure remains very solid and the rear shocks and spring area are solid and robust. The interior is in healthy condition with an original dashboard that is clean and free of blemishes. The original carpeting is in place and may need replacement. The odometer is broken.
