They saved the best for last! 1967 was the last year for a big Healey sports car and it was their best. The new phase II model was the most powerful and luxurious with a more deluxe interior, roll up windows, revised rear suspension and an improved 150 hp engine. This particular one is a contender as one of the nicest examples being offered for sale. Over $40,000 was spent on restoration. The fit, finish and function are impressive. Not to mention it is a gorgeous car! EXTERIOR: The body is outstanding. No rust or damage showing, it is laser straight. Finished in a duo tone red over black that is polished like glass. The chrome and stainless trim shows like new. The glass appears to be new as well as the weather stripping. The soft black convertible top is in excellent shape. It also has a matching tonneau cover that snaps over the cockpit. These last year models also received larger and separate turn signal indicators to be more recognized. It is also dressed up with stone guards over the headlights and a badge bar. The cherry on the cake is the new chrome 15 inch, 60 spoke knockoff wire wheels, they sparkle! They are wrapped in proper Vredestein Sprint Classic tires with only a thousand miles on them. INTERIOR: The interior shows in stellar condition. It has 2+2 seating with buckets in front and a fold down luggage shelf in back. Correctly upholstered in ambla vinyl with chrome piping. Between the seats is a console and a 4-speed shifter with a walnut knob. In front of you will be a beautiful dash with walnut veneer, a pristine set of Smith gauges including a tachometer, mint set of toggle switches and a polished would rim wheel on a telescopic column. Door panels, dash pad and carpet look new. It has a set of embroidered mats too. look new along with embroidered floor mats. These last year models also had roll up windows along with vent wing windows. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood has been refinished to the same quality as the rest of the car. At the center of it all is the 150Hp inline 6 cylinder engine with twin HD8 carbs. This last year model also benefited from a newly improved camshaft and valve springs.
