1980 Austin Healey Sprite Additional Info:

1981 Triumph Spitfire roadster. You will not find a nicer Spitfire anywhere, you might come across one just as nice but it won't be nicer. Previous frame off restoration which shows when you get up underneath this car. You or drive and enjoy this car immensely and with the overdrive it you can drive anywhere and keep up to traffic. This car is 100% rust free with a beautiful paint job and no dents/scratches/chips, drives down the road beautifully and will never let you down as far as starting. Modernization of the ignition system and fuel including electric fuel pump and electronic ignition. Has lots of gauges that actually work so you don't have to depend on idiot lights including a working altimeter (fits in with the Spitfire name) Manual choke which you pull out disguised as a heater fan. I had Quantum Mechanics rebuild me a factory overdrive unit which makes highway travel a breeze. And with a race cam installed she can motor along just fine. You can literally drive this car anywhere with ease. On it's frame off restoration the ugly post '74 bumpers were replaced with the much prettier pre-'73 thus the car looks like a '72 but is actually a '81. Which leads me to my next point, only Canada still got '81 Spits, production was ended in '80 in the US and everywhere else so this is and always has been a Canadian car. Speedo is in KM.Fyi, Ebay listing wouldn't accept my VIN by listing it as a '81 so it's listed as a '80. Like anything used any prospective buyers are encouraged to few the car and I am welcome to any pre-winning bid inspections. Nothing is perfect and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With that being said I am a car guy, am very fussy, and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer Spitfire anywhere. It received very high marks on it's professional appraisal which was well north of 16K My only reason for selling is room, I need to make some room for some new British car purchases (so I have chosen to sacrifice two in my collection). Deposit required at auction end with balance in 7 days, sale is final. Email with any questions, no trades, will assist with shipping.
There is some kind of glitch in Ebay's system and it will not let me change or set the listing of what the car actually is, a Triumph and obviously not a Austin Healey.
