1965 Austin Healey 3000 Additional Info:

1965 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 for sale. This car has had many upgrades. It has Minilite style centerlock wheels with excellent Avon CR338R 195/65 tires and triple eared knockoffs. There has been steel fender vents (Rally type) installed in the front fenders to reduce the heat in the cockpit. This Austin Healey 3000 also has a Motolita steering wheel, high torque starter, Mallory distributor, nice aluminum valve cover and a Bilstein tubular shock conversion (both front and rear). One major upgrade is the brand new, free flow stainless steel exhaust system. This BJ8 has a brand new complete clutch assembly. The car starts and runs great. It has had some under carriage work and it solid. The car has been undercoated. The floors are solid. There a few very minor nicks and chips, nothing of any consequence. This MKIII also has a spin on oil filter, aluminum radiator, alternator conversion, badge bar with driving lights ( not connected), upgraded sway bar with poly bushes, 5 bladed cooling fan, new armorcord trunk kit, quick release gas cap, new door panels and rear kick panels, new upgrade brake servo unit, 3 point seat belts, new black carpeting and an electric cooling fan. It also has the original boot cover. The seats have been refurbished and have new red vinyl covers with the correct “checkered” pattern. All the upgrades alone cost well over $8,000.00. This BJ8 has a beautiful front shroud and grill. It has a beautiful burled dashboard. This car appears as though it has never been hit. The chrome, overall is good, but there is some crazing in the chrome, particularly on the windshield frame. This AH 3000 is not a show car. It presents itself very well, has a real nice paint job and is a great driver.

Now for what the car needs. The heater box needs to be reconnected. It is in the car but not hooked up. It needs the fresh air hose installed. The rear squab (red) needs to be reinstalled and it needs the new stationary piece recovered. Most of the work required on this car is cosmetic. I am selling this BJ8 MKIII “as is”, with no implied warranty. A $1000.00 deposit is required with 48 hours of auction’s end. Complete balance due 10 days after auction’s end.
