Why We Are Selling: As a vintage Audi enthusiast who has closely worked with these vehicles for 13 years, I have owned 6 of the 149 200 20v Avants and currently have a garage of 8 Audis ranging from 1980-1991. This is one of the 3 20v Avants I currently own, and I feel I only need to keep one. This car was an unexpected find that I enjoyed getting back on the road, but the time has come to let someone else enjoy it. I also currently run the 20v Avant Registry which attempts to document current remaining examples in the states: and there’s not too many confirmed left that are running, well-sorted examples.

History: This 200 was purchased new from Audi Bellevue. It remained in Washington for some time before moving to Colorado, then New Jersey. I purchased the vehicle and brought it to Connecticut earlier this year.

Mileage: The odometer is inoperative and reads 217K. Based on estimates from the previous owner and my own use this year, I believe we’re around +/- 220K miles.

Exterior: Of the remaining examples, this is a very solid car. The Pearl white paint is serviceable. There is some fading in the hood if viewed at certain angles, but no peeling. Some rock chips/sand blasting around the high-wear areas. Some scratches/scrapes are present in the finish There isn’t anything too jarringly obvious that needs attention The gate was replaced at some point and the tail lights and center panel are newer. This 200 does feature desirable Euro headlights which improve night driving significantly. There are two small chips in the windshield; all other glass is in nice shape. Wheels are stock 15” BBS which are wrapped in older Goodyear tires.

Interior: Platinum Grey leather interior is in very nice shape. All carpeting, vinyl, and plastic trim are presentable. Zebrano wood is serviceable. Rear Cargo cover is still present. Headliner was redone this year. Dash is free of sun damage or cracks.

Electronics: All power windows are functional. Both power seats work, heated seat is intermittent at best on the driver side but works on the passenger. Instrument cluster was refurbished by me and fully functions, including all illumination, Autocheck display, clock, and trip computer. Power locks do not function. Sunroof, radio, speakers, and other switches and stalks are all working. AC compressor engages and head unit do function but system needs a recharge for cold air. Heat/defrost work as intended.

Engine/Drivetrain: I have been daily driving this 200 for several months now - starts up and goes every time. Notable repairs and new equipment include:
