Very nice example of an Audi 200 Turbo. This is the 10 valve non quattro. Drive very strong with replaced engine in past 3 years and a rebuilt transmission. Mileage is 205K. New headliner, Michelin tires with lots of tread. Just passed California smog which is very strict. Paint is pearlescent white with matching wheels and is very nice. Interior is very clean. Things needed are trunk lock and driver door lock fixed, sunroof closed but does not open and cruise control is not connected under the hood. Ask me any questions as I have had several of these over the years and know them well. I also have a large cache of parts for this model and will provide a trunk lock cylinder and driver's side door cylinder with the sale but still need to be keyed. I can't go over every little thing so please ask any questions in advance. There is a lot great about this particular car but there are some minor issues as mentioned. The engine and transmission seem very solid but notice some smoke (oil) until thoroughly warmed. Seems to be a typical valve guide VW/Audi issue. I recently acquired this but due to other reasons must sell. It is titled still from Washington state but I may be deciding to title it to myself in California next week to avoid any thoughts about it. Prefer a California buyer and one who picks the car up themselves but fine if you want to ship it. Again, ask any and all questions and will answer honestly (such as the smoke/oil burn issue). Instrument cluster has some function out with the area showing mile calculation/boost level and so on but all the visual guages (speedometer, tach, temp, oil pressure, oil temp, ammeter, etc. work properly. Has a new radiator and the big cooling fan comes on at the right time in the right temp stages. Has new timing belt from the engine replacement which I am told was about 3 years ago with the car hardly being driven in that time. I have an extra instrument cluster I will include with sale if you want. I have paperwork going back to the original owner. Rear brake calipers and rotors done in past couple of years. No leaks which is remarkable for these cars, no drips on floor. I do notice the PS books are split (as they usually are) and there is some sweating but I do not add any Pentosin. Newer PS pump in past year. Again, prefer you are an enthusiast of these cars and understand the maintenance issues. Most of these transmissions start to go somewhere past the 150K mark so this rebuilt one (have paperwork) is a big advantage. Turbo seems to boost fine. |
