1991 Audi 200 Quattro Additional Info:
It was my intention to bring this car back to aat or near showroom condition. At any rate, my health has taken a downturn and it is now apparent that I have permanently lost the physical means to complete this car.
There is no body damage and the engine is solid. There is some surface rust in the fuel tank that needs to be removed. The transmission shift linkage has too much slop in it so new shift bushings are needed. I have a brand new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing that comes with the car. The OEM clutch is good. I was just planning on changing it as part of the restoration. That clutch is worth over $400. It will need a new headliner. Auto Interior shops typically charge between $250-$300 to install a new headliner.
Here is a list of the new parts that were installed earlier this year.
Front Struts
Rear shocks
4 new brake lines
rotors are well within wear limits so new rotors are not needed.
Valve guide seals need to be installed. I have the seals and the tools. I have over $200 invested in the tools to do the job.
Brake fluid flushed and system bled.
New battery.
4 new tires
While the car can be driven, I insist that the car be hauled on a flat bed or commercial carrier to it's new home.
What made these car so desirable is the 2.2 20 valve engine. Chipped and tuned, people have realized 2x to 3x it's factory horsepower.
Car was garage kept and still is in the garage. It was stored outside for a while but was brought back in under cover.
