1974 AMC Matador Additional Info:

Re-listed due to mix up with engine size. It has the 304 not a 360. 1974 AMC Matador Sedan with less than 58,000 original miles. While the car is not perfect it does show well and turns lots of heads. A great deal of work has been done to make the car roadworthy including: Rebuilt transmission, rebuilt brake cylinders, new battery, new tires, new exhaust and muffler, new timing chain and gear, new water pump, valve cover gaskets, new Holley carb (original will come with the car), tune up, repaired brake lights, new electronic points, new relay, and more.Items that do not work are the radio (just a buzzing sound, may just need a new speaker) and the A/C. All the components are there, just didn't get around to working on that. Car has Power Steering and Power Brakes.The vinyl top is in excellent condition. The interior is in great shape and there are no tears or signs of abuse. The dash is true, not buckling. All gages and lights work as they should. I don't think the back seat has hardly ever been sat in. All the chrome shines beautifully and the hubcaps are all dent free.The car does have a few minor surface dents, just 50 years worth of use, nothing serious, the worst spot would be on the hood. The car is rust free with only minor surface rust along the inside bottom of the trunk - see picture. I have seen the underside of the car and it is clean and solid.The car's rear end is geared for in town driving so 60 - 65 mph is the fastest I drive it on the freeway.Feel free to ask any questions.
