“Selling to highest bidder”—— “PAINT NEXT WEEK”. Originally Bittersweet orange, 1969 AMX 2 seater “Go Pack” car with 401 cu. in. Z code engine from ‘71 AMC) With Holly 650 double pumper on an Edelbrock X Torker manifond, Mallory ignition, 140 mph speedometer, Headers were damaged/dented and need new ones. Blackstone radiator and factory Borg Warner T-10 4 spd. trans., Hurst shifter, posi rear and factory torque links (aka traction bars), fr disc brakes 99.9% complete including parts removed for it’s drag strip days including Power steering pump and steering gearbox, blower fan motor, brake booster & master cylinder, etc. New parts include door rubber weatherstrips, door window fuzzies, hood insulation, complete carpet set, sticker set of all factory info’s (tire pressure, radiator, spare inflator bottle decals etc.). Magnum 500’s w/caps & meaty B.F. Goodrich’s. Seats are nothing impressive- Have perfect dash pad for passenger side with sissy grab handle, every piece of stainless (w/new clips), interior trim, perfect grille (needs paint), chrome,bumpers quite decent w/polish tail lights pitted/cracked(worth replacing new old stock also mirror). Body work alone $5-6k plus?? cut rust out of four corners of the doors-and two trunk corner, also the common areas all AMX’s & Javelins rust at-the base of windshield and big rear glass, right lower quarter panel note: left lower quarter was already done when i bought and has held up nicely for years.i actually have the rusty metal cut out- yes you get a box of holes. Ready for paint shop (right rear wheel opening edge needs 3-4 hours work, inside trunk and floors are good needing 3-4 hrs. work ea.). Has already been 220 block sanded (“every inch”virtually), yellow paint areas fenders and hood needed no work just scuff. HOOD is fiberglass and the only non original panel besides the rear wheel wells being rolled up from its racing days. All Glass is out and ready to paint also. Known MISSING stuff: emergency brake cables (the two short ones in back, the chrome letter “M” from 1/4 circles or tail panel, all chrome available Aftermarket. Start at “Kennedy American” for all little parts. Investment you won’t find better with only 8 thousand and some made (check “planet houston” for any/ all the info you need). They made millions of Camaro’s, Mustangs and Chevelle’s in ‘69. I waited almost 20 years for these to skyrocket past their $70k values because of rarity .
