1960 AMC American Custom Additional Info:
I am offering a uniquely original 1960 Rambler American Custom. I collect only original oddballs. This car is 100% original. The paint is original. The interior is original. Even the chrome is original. This car has on average been driven only 1,100 miles a year since new! Cars like this in this mint and originalcondition appear rarely. This car is only being sold as I refining my collection of cars. History from day one.
This example is the late production Custom model with better trim, bothinterior and exterior, but moreimportantly it included a OHV 128hp sixcylinder engine rather than the outmoded flathead. Only a few thousand were produced in 1960. It makes thiscompact car perform like a hotrod! As Iintended to keep this carindefinitely I did a fullmechanical rebuild on the entire car. All new brakes from mastercylinder towheelcylinders. Recored the radiator. Adjusted thevalves and checked the rocker arms. A full tune up and fluid change included theautomatic transmission. New wires and coil. Rebuilt generator. And fitted acomplete exhaust from the manifold. New whitewall radials with less than 1,000 miles. Even the gas gauge works correctly. This car has been driven on numerous trips of up to 200 miles. It has always givenyeoman'sservice in everyregard.
This car has ALLORIGINALPAINT. The chrome is original andshows flawlessly. The interior, which is the top of the line, it totally original and mint. You simply can never make a car as original as this example.
