1973 AMC AMX Pierre Cardin Additional Info:
1973 AMC Javelin AMX with Pierre Cardin option. Mileage UNK. 360/4BBL/727 Torque Flight, A/C, PS, PDB, Tilt Wheel, Rear Defog, Rallye Pak, Go Pak (Functional Hood w/flapper air cleaner assembly) Have owned since 2002. Initially purchased to restore but got put way on the back burner. Car has now been completely disassembled to the shell and is on a metal bar dolly setup with casters. I have other interests at this time and do not have the time needed for this project. Expect to do a full freshening on the 360 and the 727. Overall, the body is mostly sound but needs the typical rust repair. Several areas were rust repaired back in 2004 but I could not get the rest of it done. It needs L&R quarter panel lower rears (just behind rear wheels). They are there but need work. A small area in the trunk floor (about 9 square inches for several small holes), rocker repair/reinforcement (have outer rocker replacement metal-again, the rockers are mostly sound but needs some metal work for strengthening for good measure), left rear floor pan (major-have replacement metal), left front floor pan (minor), right front trough repair (have replacement metal), small area near right rocker (outer footwell area) needs minor metal work. Roof is solid but has surface rust under the headliner. Several very small areas around the car that will need some metal work. Message me if you want more detailed pics of the rusty/perforated areas. Body is NOT a rust bucket but those areas I mentioned will need work. The pics do not display all the parts that come with this listing as they only allow me 24 pics. Basically, all the parts that came off the car will go with the car. Since it's an AC car it has tinted windows but no windshield. It cracked when it was removed. Some of the additional items are the NOS PC seat material ($$$), rear louvers ($$$), AMC fat steering wheel (Near NOS), repro L+R mirrors, 2 better condition fenders, NOS alternator, NOS backup tail light lens, NOS turn/park lamp lens, NOS PC emblems, new wiper motor, 2 hood front lip moldings, AADCO F&R sway bar kit, custom made replacement front spoiler, AMC AM/FM radio, NOS switch knobs for dash and radio, NOS x 3 AMX (Spirit) emblems, AMC Performer manifold (near NOS), etc, etc. The plastic grille bucket is in excellent condition only needing some epoxy reinforcing on the bracket supports. (a nice grille bucket?-try to find one. $$$). The list goes on and on as I've accumulated parts for years for the restoration. Any AMC person looking at this listing knows what this car is. And with all the rare parts I have purchased for this car (well over $15K) my starting price is more than fair. It's a full project, but when completed, a very rare AMX will be saved! Again, message me for more specific info. If you need better pics or a more complete listing of parts, just ask.
TO THE WINNING BIDDER: You must be willing to come with appropriate transportation to transport the car AND all the parts. Car is located in Panama City Beach, FLA. I have a clean FLA title for the car. Please, serious bidders only!! Full payment is expected within 72 hours of winning the auction. PayPal only. Thank you!!
