1965 AMC 990 ABASSADOR Additional Info:
1965 AMC Rambler AMBASSADOR 990H hardtop with rebuilt 327/auto/rebuilt. I am planning to make it a historical period car next week by putting orginal wheels, tires and hubcaps. You can buy it either way, let me know when you make your offer. Just got the factor hubcaps, see pics. The pictures speak for themselves. Got it on a trade for my motorhome:
When I brought the car the seller told me engine/transmission rebuilt and car was disasembled and the car turned upside down and acid dipped but not enough to remove the factor undercoating. Completed restoration reassemble by re-chrome much of the car, and used stainless steel bolts in the reassembly. Has AMC original 327 4 barrel 315 hp engine with automatic trans, power steering, and brakes. This was there sports package type of car. Instead of "ss" like Chevy it has what is called the "GO PACKAGE". Restoration is only 1 1/2 years old.
Seller told me it took 1st place in 2 car shows. It's never been driven in the rain since restored.I replaced the battery, alternator, regulator and electric kickdown transmission modulator. Power steering and brakes making it practical and a blast to drive. Car for sale locally and reserve the right to remove if sold locally. I am driving it on nice days so milage may be a little more. Make your offer now before someone else does, you never kown. I am buying a house and at times may be more motivated then other times. Good luck.
