Known as "The Humpsters" for their famous Group 7 Fenders (race team language from 1971) these Javelin's never go out of style and are a great piece in Muscle Car history manufactured by AMC in split generations 68-70 71-74. In 1971 only 17,707 Javelin SST's produced making them a rarity today as not many left! How many do you see at car shows today? This car is all original, paint, split vinyl top in excellent condition for age, interior ( besides reupholstered front bench seats and rear seats), engine, tranny. Retaining its original Hialeah Yellow code A1937, this car is solid for 46 years old. Starts right up, no smoking, no leaks, drives true. This car was purchased from owner#2 who drove the car 100 miles in last 6 years, health issues forced sale. This car can be driven and enjoyed now. Paint is 46 years old and certainly has dulled over the years but presentable as a driver. Keep it original or repaint, your call. The interior is in excellent condition. Dash pad great no cracks, gauge panels excellent, lenses clear, door panels nice, console and compartments very nice. Bidders- I have taken pics of this car today, uncleaned and undetailed so you can see exactly the picture. This car was owned by an older gentleman for last 7 years....he never washed vehicle, detailed dash, door panels etc. I will do this now. Expect all windows cleaned, dash and plastics cleaned and dressed. I also plan having oil changed, plugs changed and timing set to ensure car is running the best it can be. I have personally driven the car and wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. Battery seemed a bit low, will have this trickle charged as well. Good luck! Nice cool old car....
