1965 AMC Other Additional Info:
1965 Rambler Classic 77 2 door hardtop. V8 power and automatic drive. Vintage Air Conditioning/heat. AM/FM radio. Power steering. Runs very nice. If you like something different, here is a good car for you. Drives nice down the highway. Southwestern body to start with. Much money spent updating this car; way more than the reserve alone. All the work performed by specialists. Car has entered only one local show and it won "best of show". There were many nice cars/trucks there that night. This car was very straight and rust free to start with. As you know that can make a difference as time goes on. Some history on this car is the elderly man who owned and loved this car very much had the majority of the work done. He died just before it was finished. The son-in-law finished the car and then I bought it. Paint on this car is a beautiful "Britany blue / white top. Interior is original except the front and rear seats were recovered nicely. Paint was applied by a well known restoration shop and looks it. Engine compartment and the trunk compartment also detailed. The front and back windows and side vents were resealed at the same time. Original glass is in very nice shape. Costs to do this would almost amount to the reserve I have on this car alone. It is always less expensive to buy a car all done or at least close to it. I'm sure most car guys already know that. Mileage reads at present 32998 but my title reads "exempt" according to Florida requirements on older cars. Chrome is very presentable but has some marks here and there. Front and back bumpers are presentable for being 50 years old. Undercarriage is excellent and all original. New parts include in part; Goodyear blackwall tires, vintage look American Eagle wheels, water pump, alternator, carburetor, tune-up, brake hoses-shoes-wheel cylinders-master cylinder, roof rail-door-trunk weather strips, gas tank and sending unit, exhaust system, plus plus plus. The car handles well going down the road and has been on a 2 hour drive at highway speeds more than once with no issues. Does not run hot and has plenty of anti-freeze to -20 deg. Most everything works well including the back-up lights, all lights, horn, wipers, dash lights, interior lights, cold AC/hot heat, speedo, turn signals, stereo-CD player, emergency brake, locking gas cap (one key works the factory gas cap, doors, trunk, and glove compartment). The square key is for the ignition only. Clock does not work. Has a usable spare and the correct jacking assembly. Production numbers for the Series 6519-5 Classic 770 2Dr Hdtp; All with V8 engines-7134 units 112"WB. Summer is coming soon. You can take this car to any car show and be proud of it and be cool when you get there. I get more looks in this car than in my 57 Chevy 210. It is just a good looking vehicle. I have described this car to the best of my knowledge, however, the car is 50 years old so selling as is. I know most car guys know this but still had to say it. Also, the personalized license plate does not go with the car. I have a clear Florida title in my name. A $500 non-refundable deposit through Pay-Pal is required immediately after the auction ends so make sure you really want it if you are bidding. The balance is due within 3 days-preferably a bank wire transfer; but NOT through Paypal . I have lived at the same address since 1985 and been a member of Ebay since 2005. Check out my feedback and call if you need to. Randy 863-665-0620. I can not always answer the phone so if that is the case leave a message and I will return your call.
