1962 Rambler Custom 401

1962 AMC Custom 2 Door Additional Info:

This is a very nice 62 Rambler Custom, 2 door post car. Very hard to find a car like this in this condition. I bought it 3 years ago off of EBAY. I will describe what I know about the car and also you can go to AOL and type in 62 Rambler Custom 401 and get a complete description of this car from the person who built it. The engine is an AMC 401 cu in with an Offy intake with two AFB carbs.Transmission is a 727 Chrysler Torqueflite . Rear diff is from an AMC Spirit with 2:56 gears. Between 60 - 70 MPH fuel mileage is around 15. I have driven this car to the GoodGuys show in Charlotte, NC the last 3 yrs which is about 350 miles round trip. Also to the Run to the Sun show in Myrtle Beach, SC the last three years which is around 200 miles round trip. I have entered the car in numerous car shoes and won awards in many of them. The one that I am most proud of is the AMC Nationals 2014 in N.Charleston, SC where I won a Silver award. With that said, this is a nice 54 year old car that I would not be afraid to drive anywhere. As with any 54 year old car there is no warranty expressed or implied.
My reserve is $7600. which is very reasonable considering I have over $10,000 invested in it and the fact that this is a very rare car. If you are in to car shoes you will not find another one there.
