1964 AMC Other wagon 4-door Additional Info:
I've owned and driven this rambler for the last 10 years, and I bought it from a mechanic friend who had fixed it up himself. In all that time it's ran great, only needing small repairs here and there. The last couple years I decided to get it some much needed tlc in preparation for selling it, and passing the torch to someone who has more time and resources to fix her up right. Cosmetically this rambler is a little rough, but under the hood everything has been taken care of, and is running well. I have a replacement fender for the driver's side, replacement visors, a radio I was told works & should fit into the car, as well as some rambler ephemera (posters, postcards, books etc) that will be included in the sale of this car. The wagon also comes with 5 original hubcaps and original front seat belts (not installed).
The back window was smashed out a few years back, but is replaced with lexan plexiglass. A few hit and runs have also left a few dents in the side of the car. There's some front chrome damage and the hood is slightly popped up on the drivers side where someone backed into the vehicle as well. The driver's side hinge is damaged so the door swings out all the way, and this has resulted in some crinkling of the metal along the door and fender, but as I said a replacement fender is included. The speedometer works, but all other original gaugesdo not. There are some newer gauges installed under the dash, however the fuel gauge just stopped working this last month. I also disconnected the horn this month because it started honking every time I turned left! Odometer just reset this year (it goes up to 999,999) and the odometer currently reads 3,726.
For all the recent work that has been done, please refer to the invoices I've posted.
