1980 AMC AMX Additional Info:
1979 AMC Spirit Hatchback D/L. 258 inline six, automatic. I brought the first car up from Florida about 5 years ago and was a Tennessee care before that. Car is originally a 2.0 4 cylinder car, but the 6 has been put in. Runs and drives good. All of the trim is in the car. Interior is all black except seats are still the original light blue. Extra interior pieces in blue and black are included. Paint is okay, but has been cheaply sprayed black at some point. No carpet, but that shows there is no rust and is definitely a southern car. Body is in really good shape with no rust underneath. Very little surface flash rust in the wheel liners. The AC actually blows cools, just could use a Freon charge. New fuel pump just installed. Noticed it needs a fan clutch, I have one to go with it. Driver car that could give a pieceor two to the nextone...
1980 AMC Spirit AMX, 258 inline-6, Auto, AC car. Only made around 800 in the last year for the AMX nameplate. Factory P1 Blackwith orange stripes and decals. All flares and rear spoiler intact in great shape, and an extra AMX grill. Very solid car, came from Tennessee as well. Interior in good shape, Complete and full of parts inside the car, driveshaft and transmission is out of the car since it was dollied home, but included. Only missing AMX part is the front spoiler, which is now being reproduced. I can't get over how solid this car is at the seams, underneath and everywhere. Worst part of the car is the driver's fender looks like it was hit or something fell into it, so other spirit would be great donor for the fender. New headlight bezel comes with the car along with a ton of parts, I can inventory if someone is serious, but there is a ton. Intake and exhaust manifold are off the car but included, but motor does turn.Shoes are off the rear wheels to roll easier.
Great opportunity with both cars, as they are totallycomplete. 80 AMXs don't come around often, last 'performance' car AMC ever built, and this one is in incredible shape showing only 64k miles, looking at pedals and wear parts, I believe it, but wouldn't guarantee it. Tons of spare parts will go with the two. I don't really want to split them up, but might consider it. Can deliver both cars upon arrangement if that's a deal breaker for someone.
