1970 AMC AMX Additional Info:
You are bidding on a 1970 American Motors AMX. 360 4 barrel, 4 speed transmission. Options include gauge pack ( tach dash ), AM radio, 3.54 twin grip rear w/ Traction Master package, and quick ratio steering. The car is an original Matador Red w/ White C-Stripe and Black interior.
Only *836* 360 4 speed AMX's were produced in 1970. The 1970 AMX is the last year of the 2 seat AMX's and a one year only body style. This car is very complete and unmolested. It is the most complete 1970 AMX I have ever found in unrestored condition. The nice part is there is no need to search for hard to find parts. Most everything is here except for the smog equipment. Even the original reverse lock rod is still intact, which means the car has to be in reverse in order to remove the key... Original air cleaner with snorkle and heat riser are intact. Rim blow is rough but restorable & new element is included. Even both walnut arm rest appliques are in place.
The following NOS, reproduction, used, and spare parts are included. Over $3K worth of restoration parts, and all new tires:
NOS: Inflatable spare tire, Outside driver's side mirror, Door sill panels, Uncut key set
( one year only ), Cigarette Lighter, Carb stud & wing nut, and rear side marker caps.
Reproduction: Both front and rear bumpers ( NICE!) Floor pans ( all 4 ), Lt door repair patch
panel, Instrument panel bezels, Rear license lamp, Right side outside mirror, 1/4
panel chrome hockey sticks, 1/4 panel "AMX" letter sets (both), One 1/4 panel
ring ( the originals are still pretty nice too ), "AMX" Grill emblem, 360 fender
emblems (both), American Motors emblem ( upper rear body panel ), Ram Air
hood bezels, Front chon spoiler, Door panels ( originals are very nice too), rear 1/4
soft trim w/ hard panels, Rim Blow horn element, oil sending unit, motor mounts,
WS Washer pump, 3X cans of speckle paint (trunk floor), twin grip decal, 2X cans
of OEM AMC Engine paint, Felpro rear housing gasket.
Used: Hood molding (spare / nice), front parking lamp ground wires (rare/ 1970 only),
door handles ( window crank / nice! ), Grill support, trunk lid ( has holes for
spoiler but no rust ), set of 4 14 X 6.5 OEM 1968/9 all chrome AMC Magnum
500's w/ centers ( nice / used / driver quality ), and one spare Mopar painted
magnum for a full size spare if desired. Spare Motorcraft 4300 OEM 360 4spd carb
This car appears to be all numbers matching. Here are the tag break downs:
Built: Sept 1969 ( early car )
VIN: A0M397P11XXXX ( P= 360)
Body: R00440
Model: 7039-7
Trim: 031F (Black / Fabric )
Paint: 39A (Matador Red )
E009001
Dash tag# 17037
Valve Cover tag#209P11
OEM Motorcraft 4300 has tag on it too but I didn't write it down. It is the original to the car.
Car will need a full restoration. It runs and lot drives. Brakes are very scary so I would not drive it on the street. It will need some rust repair. It is not the worst I have seen. There are over 200 pictures in detail and a couple videos of it running. Reasonable reserve. I'd prefer to sell to someone who will come and get it because of all of the spare parts. I do not know how I would be able to fit all of this stuff in the car and not have something get damaged or stolen. The bumpers alone cost $1100, and the NOS space saver spare is the same as a MOPAR and BOSS/Shelby Mustang so big $$$ to replace. If not too far, I might be able to negotiate delivery but my truck only gets 8 MPG so... it won't be free.
Car will not be released until paid in full. I have a clear TN title in my name. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.
Good luck. Happy bidding and ASK Questions!!! Bidders with low or zero feedback will need to contact me or bids will be removed. Thanks for looking.

I have had a couple people ask about all of the pictures so this additional line should help the clickable links stand out a little better... Just click on the blue "pictures1" and"pictures2" and you will automatically be taken to the pictures. There are also 3 videos of it running, as well as pictures of all of the parts. I am in the process of cleaning up the 68/9 Magnum 500's and will add a better picture of them soon.
