1994 Alfa Romeo Spider CE Additional Info:

This is a limited edition of the Alfa Romeo Spider namely the “Spider Super Veloce CE (Commemorative Edition)” and was produced for the North American market in May 1993. It was then badged as a 1994 model. Only 190 Spider Super Veloce CEs were imported to the United States. They had a small plaque affixed to the dashboard that identified which of the 190 cars it was. This vehicle is number 12 of 190. The CEs differed from previous Spiders in that they had a special badge on the nose, a "CE" script badge below the "Spider Veloce" badge on the tail, unique gold center caps on the "phone-dial" 15" wheels, and burl wood interior trim. Each model came also with a leather portfolio. The Alfa Romeo came with a very advanced engine: 2.0 Liter twin cam 16 valve motor with variable cam timing. This was very advanced for 1994. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. When I purchased it the paint and leather was faded, the woodwork had lost its veneer and the dash needed to be repaired. I had the following done to the vehicle over a period of 15 months: Outside 1. Vehicle was repainted in original “English Green”. 2. Muffler and back end of the exhaust system was replaced. 3. Clutch was serviced including replacing the following items with new parts: • Clutch disk • Pressure plate • Throw-out Bearing • Clutch master cylinder • Clutch slave cylinder • Clutch arm pivot 4. Brakes were serviced including replacing the following items with new parts: • Brake Booster • Brake master cylinder • Resurfacing rotors • Brake shoes 5. Rims were powder coated Inside 1. Dash was replaced with a new dash (old one is available). 2. The seats were reupholstered with new leather & suede to original specifications. 3. All the wood work including door trim, center console & shifter nob was remade in the original wood. I have spent $10,000 to $12,000 in restoring the vehicle to its current condition. The vehicle runs very well and everything works on it including the air conditioning. It is not show perfect but it is in a very good condition that would add glamour to any collection.
