1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Additional Info:
Hi, I have decided to sell my beloved 1983 Alfa Spider. It has been one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever owned. Unfortunately, I have to let it go in order to help finance another Alfa. the GOOD: Very good driver, great motor with compression in the 150 range +/- 5 PSI. Rebuilt suspension with the Alfaholics fast road kit, (springs, Koni shocks, bushings, sway bar). Rebuilt brakes, (new rotors, MC, Booster, SS lines) Good top, nice interior, A/C, Good Pirelli tires, New exhaust and stinger pipe. Power windows work well, Top is in good shape. I have a chassis stiffener on the car, and it has NO rust. As is the car is set up very well. It doesn't ride too harsh but yet it handles quite nicely and is a lot of fun!
It is the nicer of the S3 series spiders as it has the reliable Bosch fuel injection, good rust proofing, and the twin gauge cluster which I feel gives the best of both worlds, the classic look and feel but with the reliability of a modern car, ...starts every time and runs smooth.
the Not so good: Typical Alfa tranny, it shifts ok but not great if you rush it, Seats are from an '87 and should be recovered, (dry and cracked), some dings and dents and paint fade/blush, though not terrible. stock alloys need to be refinished. as the paint has peeled on two of them. This is a very good driver with low miles.I am selling to help finance another Alfa
I will try to get some good underside photo's and other photo's soon.
