This may be the best GTV6 I have ever seen. It has up to date service and maintenance. The timing belt was replaced about 6 months ago, and the engine runs perfectly. All belts, hoses, guibos, brakes and other service items have been replaced in the last few years and are all in good condition. This car can be driven anywhere, anytime. It has original paint in excellent condition. The car has been garaged all its life.
The 1986 models are the best GTV6s. They have the best gear ratios and the improved shift linkage. They also have the tropic air conditioning system, with a rotary compressor and a larger condenser (some 85's have tropic air but with a piston compressor and a smaller condenser). The 1986 cars are the only ones with really good AC and in this car it works very well, in fact you usually have to turn it down because it so cold.
This particular car features some very good professionally installed upgrades. It has the full RS Racing adjustable suspension with matching shocks. This kit was developed by RS racing which is a driving school at the Nurburgring. This is by far the best suspension kit ever made for this car. In addition it has poly bushings, RS anti-sway bar and the SZ spherical bearing. This is the best handling GTV6 I have ever driven and it still rides pretty well. It has upgraded brakes, using Alfa Romeo SZ rear calipers and vented rotors.
Power is from the original 2.5 liter V6. The engine is in fantastic condition. It starts perfectly, idles perfectly and pulls hard to redline with no issues at all. It has a little extra power from a "Pandora's Box" ECU, Euro type downpipes with a cross over, and a performance air intake from HPSI. Of course we have all the original parts if desired. The transaxle works well although the second gear syncro is a little weak. This really isn't an issue, I can shift it fast up or down into second without crunching, but for a novice driver it may take some practice. Basically you have to shift a little slowly into second, or double clutch it. There is a little wear on the driver's seat bolster, but the interior is otherwise perfect. I think it's the nicest interior I have ever seen in a GTV6.
There are some other upgrades like Corbeau seats, PIAA fog/driving combination lights, and upgraded modern headlights set up correctly with relays. The headlight kit connects directly to the factory wiring, so it's very clean wiring. The wheels are from Serpent Autosports, and I think they are the best looking wheels ever offered for the car, they are 17".
