1994 Alfa Romeo Spider Additional Info:
This is a beautiful Alfa Romeo Spider Commemorative Edition, #74 of the last 190 classic Spiders that were ever made. Originally introduced in 1966 the car came with 3 changes, the last (Series 3) was from 1991 to 1993. Only the Commemorative Edition cars were marked as 1994s in the title.
The classic look of the Spider did not change significantly over the years and has become an icon in the car world. Designed by the Ferrari designer Pininfarina, the series 3 has a modern look to this timeless classic.
I bought the car as a rebuilt title close to 10 years ago. The car was involved in an accident in the mid 2000s and the insurance company deemed the car a total financial loss even though there was little damage to the car. The body was perfectly OK and the steering damage was repaired fairly easy. I re-certified the car through DMV and have a title. It is currently registered.
I had the engine gone through by an Alfa specialist in Miami. The car then went for a full body restoration to Exotica Bodyworks in Davie FL and has some rust damage repaired and the car was completely repainted. The car then went to my upholstery guy and has the seats and dash and door covers replaced. I then had a new top installed and this is how you see it.
The car is drivable but here is some of the rest that needs to be finished:
There is an interior panel missing on the drivers side just behind the door where the gas and trunk handle sits in. The ashtray needs to be replaced for one with a lid. The various decals need to be reattached. I have them.
The auxillary belt pulley bearing is squealing. It needs to be replaced. There are several instruments that are not working, including the odometer. Mileage is within 1000 miles though. I did not drive more. 2 small dings.
