1973 Alfa Romeo Spider Additional Info:
1973 Series II Spider with original SPICA fuel injection.
Body color: Silver (repainted previously), close to original AR737.
Interior: black vinyl, rubber floor mats.
Mileage: ~66000 (bought it with 36000 five years ago).
Clean MN title. Original engine (w. matching number, confirmed by Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo)runs smoothly,startseasily, cold or warm.
The body was repainted by some of the previous owners (I have no record of it) and is free of rust or any signs of damage. The paint and interiors show some wear but generally look decent.A new OEM fabric top was installed around 3 years ago.
Non-stock features:
-Blaupunkt radio (works, yet has rather poor reception; I didn't want to drill any holes in the body and left it with an under-dash antenna);
-Koni Classic shocks;
-Minilite alloy wheels with Dunlop tires (~30K mileage).
Engine parts replaced in last 5 years:
spark plugs (Lodge HL) & wires;
oil seals / sump gaskets;
SPICA timing belt;
SPICAthermostatic actuator (rebuilt).
Recent drivetrain and chassis works:
-full front suspension rebuild (at Top Gear Autoworks) in 2011;
-flexible coupling (giubo) & gearbox oil seals replaced in 2012;
-rear hub bearings replaced in 2013;
-u-joints replaced & driveshaft re-balanced in 2015;
Most maintenance was done by myself so I have no records but I kept the receipts for the new parts.
A few spares (giubos, thermostats, fuel filter etc.), a vinyl top cover (non-original, Centerline), and a fabric car cover are included.
