1966 Alfa Romeo Duetto 1600 Spider Additional Info:
Up for your consideration is an Alfa 1600 Duetto or more precisely whats left of an Alfa after the fiberglass monsters got ahold of it. I think they were trying for a TZ inspired roadster but I can't be sure. It looks to me like Jr. got a welder for Christmas and Grandpa said "let's weld up the old Alfa". The father then said "let's redesign one of the most beautiful cars ever built". I don't know the folks who did this so I'm guessing. There are patches "welded" into the floors and rockers. There is some sort of a substructure welded to the back of the car to support the "body". One thing that i found rather interesting is the the doors open and shutbeautifully. If these were million dollar cars you might still not want to restore this one. Don't know if the engine/transmission are good but they are there. I grabbed the fan quickly to see if I could get the engine to turn but it wouldn't. Folks this is a parts car and a good one at that. There is no spot in the listing to put the correct title information so here it is:
I do not have a title and it will be sold on a bill of sale only.
These cars are getting really hard to find these days and if you need a bunch of stuff to make yours correct this one will do fine. If you want aweird car to drive that nobody else has you could probably make this thing go. If you want a Dad and Lad project where you end up with a mint Duetto at the end this is not the one. Look at the pictures ask questions and make a determination before the end of the auction. The winning bid means you pay, you pick it up, you leave with it. The winning bid does not mean that you can come and look and make an offer. This is a NO RESERVE auction where the winning bidder will be the highest bidder at the close. Bid early. Bid often. Bid to win. If you'd like to see the car before you bid (GREAT IDEA) I'd be happy to show it to you during normal business hours (where I have it stored is only available during business hours). Thanks for looking.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. It's low, fragile and a pain to move. I have access to a loader so we can pick it up and put it on a trailer.
