1976 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV. Mechanically sorted, rust-free, fresh paint. Bought March '16. Would like to keep but I've got too many cars, including another Alfa and the wife says that at least one Alfa has to go. Am keeping a Milano as I value much more than does the market. ODO says 27,XXX so I am assuming it has rolled over once. $8,995 OBO.
After being mechanically sorted by Group 2 Motorsports in Seattle, WA, this car was driven from the West Coast to Connecticut in 2008.
After arriving in CT the original engine was swapped with a rebuilt engine, including a modification to the GoTech EFI. The car was dyno'd at 120HP at 5700 rpm and received new driveshaft donuts.
The CT owner sold the car to another CT Alfetta enthusiast in 2012. When his collection became too large he sold me the GTV one year ago this March.
Engine runs very strong with no issues and the transmission shifts smoothly with no issues, including no synchro issues. Suspension w/ Bilstein shocks is solid, car needs nothing. Battery has been moved to trunk.
There were some rust spots in the body panels which were all removed. Body work and paint done by Artisan Autobody of Manassas, VA, who did a fantastic job. I can put anyone seriously considering purchasing the car in touch with the shop owner who can answer any and all questions about the work performed. The closeups taken of the primered car (see flikr link) are of those areas where Artisan did some body work.
There was and is no structural rust which is very impressive for an Alfetta and speaks to both its West Coast heritage and good care by its East Coast owners over the past eight years. Inner fender areas are completely clean apart from one small place where there is an old surface scab which had formed under a factory sticker and has been treated with rust converter; it sits several inches safely behind the strut tower.
The chin spoiler (spoilers as it comes in two pieces) was removed prior to paint and not re-attached (personal preference) but is included with the car.
I would be happy to provide more photos in the meantime to anyone seriously considering the car, just contact me. I strongly recommend calling or texting me as e-mails tend to disappear in the depths of my junk mail folder before I've seen them. Car looks every it as good in person as it does in the pics.Cell is two four oh - four six one - five five six three. Note that I am advertising the car locally (Baltimore area) as well; that ad contains a link to many more photos.
