1991 Alpha Romeo Spider,
Second owner, purchased 02 July 1998 from Stewarts, Ferrari of Denver. I was in the dealership when the original owner brought it in as a trade on a Ferrari. Stewart was also an Alpha dealer up until the time Alpha stopped importing cars at the end of the 1992 model year and they serviced this car up until my move to Texas in 2011. Car was purchased with 32k miles and today it has 58,410 miles on the OD. A lifelong expat the car has been garaged more than driven as up until last year I was working out side of the US.
Updates; complete engine, transmission reseal and engine tune-up @ 56,191 miles, new AM/FM w/mp3 jack, subwoofer, professionally installed, new dash pad cover, updated seat upholstery, In all, over $8,000 worth of work over the past 2000 miles. Starts, runs beautifully, turns heads and attracts a crowd at rural Texas gas stations. Top was replaced some time ago but still looks new. Reason for selling, I look like an old fool driving it!
Full disclosure: A/C unit has not been charged in a spell and does not blow cold, and the heater fan did not come on when I was checking out the car prior to this listing (I never used either of them). Regular wear and tear on paint etc. nothing stands out other than the minor ding in the front hood which I have noted in the attached pictures. I do not have all of the documentation for this car but I will providewhat I do haveas well as 4 original wheels, sans tires with the sale as well as any miscellaneous parts, books and badging I have collected over the years .
Payment terms, Cash or ETF preferred. No warranty expressed or written, I have disclosed what I know and can answer most questions, car is sold where is, as is. Arrangements for shipping and /or pickup are the responsibility of the buyer.
Good luck, I hope this goes to one who will appreciate the Italian engineering and heritage as much as I did.
