1991 Acura Legend Additional Info:
This is probably the nicest Acura Legend left in the country. Nearly showroom condition after 25 years. Only 29,017 original miles (yes, you read that correctly).
Here is the story: I purchased the car earlier this year from a man who had purchased the car in Pennsylvania where it was originally stolen off an Acura dealership lot back in 1991. It was not recovered until 2010 and was described in the police report as new condition with 7,000 miles on the odometer. The next owner was an officer with the police department that purchased the vehicle from the insurance company. Because it was a theft recovery it was assigned a rebuilt brand on the title. This car in no way has ever been wrecked or had any paint work done. Four years and 2000 miles later I purchased the car from the man who purchased the car from the police officer and drove it sparingly until this year. I have all the police reports from 1991 and 2010 to go with the vehicle that document this unusual story.
Upon purchasing the car, just to be safe, I replaced the following: timing belt, water pump, thermostat, break pads, rotors, all fluids, floor mats (I now have two sets for it - black and tan) and tires. I also replaced the original Bose stereo (a sin, I know - but hey, now it has Bluetooth!) because the amp had seen its day (plus they were prone to starting on fire) and the speakers were slightly distorted. I still have all the original Bose equipment if you want it. I also have a second set of original OEM Acura Legend 5-spoke wheels that would go with it that I had intended to put snow tires on.
I'm only considering selling because we are looking at buying a house soon and may need to free up some cash. With that being said, I'm not super flexible on price but will entertain reasonable offers. I know the NADA and KBB values, so please don't hammer me with them. This car is basically brand new and is the exception to any valuation algorithm out there and with all maintenance items up to date, this car will last you forever. It is said that all Acura Engineers believe this is one of the best cars Acura ever built.
For anyone who has been looking for an immaculate, original Acura Legend, this is it. I truly feel there is not a better one left in the country right now. You will not be disappointed.
