Please read entire description.
After 7 years of blissful ownership, I find myself selling my dream car. I am in my mid 30s and very responsible. I originally purchased this super rare beauty from her first American owner, a fellow Honda enthusiast who was actually in his late 50s (no kidding, I have remained in contact with him over the years).
Ultra-rare unicorn. This is 1 of 7 possible known 4 door DB8 ITRs in the entire United States. An unmolested specimen. Real deal right hand drive car, NOT a conversion.
This vehicle is registered for street use, and insured in Arizona. The title is clean and in my name. I have NEVER raced this car, nor did the previous American owner. It has been a garage queen since I have owned her. I used to drive this vehicle about once a month, but lately it has been much less. In 7 years, I have logged approximately than 26,000 kilometers on this car (less than 2,000 miles per year on average). I have taken it on trips such as Yuma, AZ to Dallas, TX to visit my sister on two different occasions. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. 140,000 Kilometers=86,000 original miles on the car.
This is considered to be a 96 spec, which came from the factory with 4 lug (4x114.3) as opposed to the 98 spec, which had 5 lug (5x114.3). Japanese engine code is B18C as opposed to the American B18C5. The Japanese vin does not have the 17 digits like the American example, so I had to change the year to 1980 on the listing to satisfy Ebay site listing requirement parameters.
1997 DB8 ITR (Championship White). I strove to keep this car very original, clean, and in excellent condition. Meticulously maintained. All oil changes on time with Mobile 1 fully synthetic. The only modifications are mild and tasteful:
Password JDM intake, Mugen Twin Loop Muffler, HIDs, and Tein Flex 16 way fully adjustable coilover suspension. Has stainless steel brake lines. Also has OEM Honda Access rain guards as well as OEM mudflaps. I installed authentic OEM rear strut tower bar and Honda Integra Type Rx pedals. I had a custom dash guard made and installed to protect the flawless dash from the sun.
Upgraded sound system sounds very clear, crisp, and clean. I recently upgraded to a Kenwood deck with Bluetooth. Already in place was a 12” Kenwood Excelon subwoofer, 5 channel amp, and upgraded Phoenix Gold front and rear componentspeakers and tweeters with separate crossover.
Viper Alarm and other security features to be discussed only with buyer. Tinted windows.
Everything else is all original including B18C motor, LSD transmission, Black Recaro interior, MoMo steering wheel, titanium shift knob, power folding mirrors, front and rear sway bars, ultra lightweight wheels…everything.
At some point in its history this vehicle was involved in an accident and was repaired while in Japan. I believe the right rear was impacted. The vehicle was inspected by an Acura dealership in Florida subsequent to arrival and was found to be excellent driving and mechanical condition.
The car has no rust or mechanical issues. The engine idles and acceleratesnicely and transmission shifts perfectly with no grinds. Car runs and drives excellent. Everything works as it should including the heat and A/C.
Timing belt, water pump, tensioner, valve cover seal, cam seals, accessory belts changed 5,000 kilometers ago.
The previous US owner had the vehicle resprayed in its original color (championship white, code: NH-0). There are minor rock chips primarily on the front bumper and lower lip spoiler, which is common for a vehicle that has been in Arizona for the last 11 years as this one has. There are also two small dings on the drivers side fender and some very small dings on each rear door which are difficult to capture in pictures. Also the driver side floor mat is a little torn located near where the hole is (I took a picture).
I have kept this vehicle clean, waxed, and garaged throughout the duration of ownership as had the previous owner. It has recently been professionally detailed. I changed the oil 20 kilometers ago using Mobile 1 fully synthetic and an OEM blue hemp Honda filter as has been my practice.
I possess extensive knowledge about this vehicle and can provide more information upon request. Vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition with no known issues whatsoever. The only two people to work on this vehicle since I have owned it are a local Honda Master technician and an aircraft mechanic. New OEM (expensive) axles installed 1000 kilometers ago.
I am not interested in low ball offers or trades of any kind. Serious inquiries only and more pictures available upon request. I would be happy to cooperate with any in person inspections and/or shipping but these would be at the expense of the buyer. Isaac 928-246-1998.
