Beautiful 1973 Sports Wagon - NO RESERVE

1973 Volvo 1800ES Sports Wagon Additional Info:

Nice example of the classic 1800 ES sportswagon. This could be a show car with a little bit of effort.
Car has been maintained and been on the road since purchase (Sundays only in NJ!) Numbers match and many parts are original. I am the third owner (purchased at 74k mileage). Car was originally delivered to a US GI in Germany, he brought it home to Arizona. The second owner had it in Lake Elsimore, California. I brought it to NJ in September 2001. It has been garage kept and only saw raindrops once! The car was professionally resprayed in California with correct BASF paint sourced from Germany. (unfortunately the original wheels were painted sea green instead of stock silver.
I made very few repairs over the years. I replaced the drivers seat belt, wiper switch and driver side mirror with original Volvo parts, rebuilt right brake ballast. Tune ups were performed and ignition coil was replaced.
Manual 4 speed with working manual overdrive for highway cruising.

Non-original parts include radio, steering wheel, IPD sway bars, wheel trim rings and black side molding. Speakers were cut into side panel in rear.
NO body rot and no rust repairs to my knowledge.
There is some rust at bottom rear window surround under gasket. Clock and oil temperature sensors are not working. Minor oil/fluid leaks apparent on garage floor.
Original interior has a worn and torn vinyl drivers seat, broken console latch, some staining on rear carpet near latch which has some peeled chrome, some scuffs/newsprint on original headliner. Original dash liner appears to be in good shape but has been covered with a crumbling cover which was velcro'd on. Velcro mounts will have to be removed from dash. Door trim loose/damaged on drivers side. no luggage straps.
Exterior i sin great shape. One chip in paint under passenger headlight does show white, possibly filler. Rear drivers quarter panel has some minor scuffs. Hood insulation is missing.
