BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
this is a great story, and legit.
In 1965 the lady who ordered this lived here in Tucson, her sister lived
IN SWEDEN ! She wanted the safest car on the market for her two kids
to be driven around in. So her sister special ordered this Amazon for
her In 1966 directly at Volvo.
it was shipped to the docks in LA CALIF where she picked it up with a few
miles on it and drove it to Tucson Az. Since then she says its never let her
down with well over 150k on it. She said she has taken this car from Tucson
to NY and Canada, and even down into Mexico. A few yrs ago she decided to
retire it basically and bought a Rav 4 Toyota. So the car at in her carport for
a few yrs. It has its share of war wounds, but that just adds to the cars appeal.
I wish it was original paint, but its not. We could find no signs of any bondo
or rust / rot repair. Being mostly an AZ car, its not surprising.
The car does come with a giant folder of reciepts too from over the yrs.
Every 10 yrs or so she would purge them and toss the old ones. But the ones
we got with the car come with it.

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: the original cast iron B18 motor and 4 spd trans
the motors been rebuilt at least once that we know of. Runs great.
These motors are a work horse.
The original SU carbs where replaced many yrs ago with a WEBER
The last owner said shes never had any drivability issues once she did the conversion.
We have gas in the tank but are running it off a small bottle of
fuel under the hood for now. I believe the electric fuel pump in the
back went bad from sitting a few yrs. IF I have time Ill install the new
one back there. If not, the new fuel pump will be under the hood
making the car functional for transportation.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the interior of this car is pretty
decent for its age and having over 150k on it. Drive it as is or restore
it the way you want it down the road, fuzzy dash and all. Could use
a little more cleaning, but the car sat for a few yrs under a carport here
in the AZ desert. All the gauges and radio work on the dash too.
There are a few extra switches on the dash, not exactly sure what they
go to yet. All the glass is great, and believe the Volvo logo is still on
all or most of them. After the original owner picked up the car at the
docks in LA CALIF in 1966, it was brought right here to Tucson Az where
Broadway Volvo, a local dealer installed the AC system. Its all connected
still and has gone thru a few compressors. Not sure if its blowing cold
at the moment.

EXTERIOR:the body is in pretty amazing shape with only a few dents
to really speak of. The worse one on the rr quarter behind the tire.
Hard to see but its there. We could not find any evidence of rust on the body
and very little on the floor boards. About 30 yrs ago the car had a small
impact to the front end too and an amateur touch up paint was done there
too. It messed up the grll area some, but behind it is fine (see pics)
The paint may shine up, its old enamel paint, but it is also about 30 yrs old
and starting to show its age too. The paint in the door jambs and on metal
part of the dash is probably the worst part.
AGAIN this car has been living in AZ since it came off the boat from
Sweden since day 1. Although its been driven all over the country and parts
of Canada and Mexico over the yrs (a real Amazon !) it got very little rust
on the floors, and almost none on the body and rockers. Its a very solid car
for its age thats not been restored.

SUSPENSION:the suspension has new shocks on the rear and while
driving it around the block a little felt and sounded okay and its been
kept up by the original owner. Tire wear up front is great too.
Tires are still in good shape as well. It may need some suspension work
like bushings or something, but again its not a restored car. All 5 original
steel wheels are with the car and caps.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented Volvos on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
This is a great Volvo to restore or Maybe finish the interior one
day when you feel the need, and watch it appreciate for yrs
to come.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. No worries here, and
we post legit large pics to prove it.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please

much feasibly possible via pics.

If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.

until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
