1964 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic . Condition is Used. This car was a California car most (40+ years) of its life, and it has been in my family since 1995; was brought to Virginia in 2012 and has been driven daily for the last 8 years. Kids have all left the house, so time to move it along. It was recently taken in to have the paint and chrome refreshed; interior is new in last 2 years, some wear and tear - no headliner, and the sunroof does not work well, tends to get stuck open, so I don't open it. It has been upgraded to a 12V system and the motor is a 1967 1300cc version. It has a new muffler, new carb, recently rebuilt starter and alternator, newly rebuilt speedo, new rear bumper, new pedals, new clutch cable, new door panels - it runs very, very well. Has the dents and dings you might expect, showed the 2 worst in the photos, but this is not a concours car. The trim is a little faded as is the paint in some areas. There is surface rust on some chrome, some rust on floorboard and in door jambs. When I had the car detailed, the auto-body owner commented numerous times on how solid the body is. I will help you arrange shipping, and will drive it to a pick up site. I will also deliver with 200 miles of Washington DC at no cost to the buyer. Clean title. Hagerty's puts this car at $13160 in good condition which I believe is the case with this little beauty.
