1988 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Valve Job and New Heads Additional Info:

Selling the very last of my buddy's Westfalias. He thought he would start his platform with a low mileage automatic and build one for his family to enjoy. Well, as luck would have it, his wife, came into some family money and decided to build him his "dream camper". She is ordering him a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter, AWD fully loaded to the hilt at an astounding price of $85,000. So, here we are selling the last and final Westfalia of his three. It is finished in bourdeaux, burgundy to us non-purist. Although the body does have it's fair share of Hurricane Ivan related damage(see photos and video), the drivetrain is solid. The motor sounds and runs good. The transmission shifts good and it runs in the middle of the temperature gauge, even through the Santa Cruz mountains. What he envisioned when he bought this one was an automatic that he and the Mrs. can drive. He carefully, hand selected this one. He even sent it out to have it inspected by a notable Volkswagen Vanagon shop, Buslabs here in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is a stack of invoices. For those of you who'd like to know, yes, the top half, including the heads were rebuilt. It has been regularly maintained. It has been lovingly owned. The pop top sides and front are in good condition. The rear of the tent has some wear.(please see photos and video). The interior is clean and smoke free. The camping equipment are all present and accounted for. They work too. The beds, top and bottom are clean. The "Z" bed folds nice and flat. The top raises and closes with ease. The tires, although deep in tread should be changed due to age and cracking along the sidewalls. If you are camping local, it should be fine. For any distances, I would change them out. Westfalia's are just a joy to drive and everyone has a story of their many years of camping enjoyment. With all my auctions, a few requirements. First, No PAYPAL. Second, any and all bidders with less than 10 feedback, and/or negative feedback, must contact me prior to bidding with their full name and contact number of their bid will be cancelled and their user ID blocked from any additional bidding. Third, you are bidding to own, not look and make excuses. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction period, not after. Once, the auction is over, you are the new owner. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. Also, selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with NO Warranties, expressed or implied. Seller has represented vehicle to the best of his knowledge at the time of sale and makes no warranties as to the condition of the vehicle that are not known to him at the time of sale. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end the auction early and cancel any and all bids if sold outside of ebay. So, with a great big camp roar, let the auction begin. Selling for NO RESERVE.
