VINTAGE 1973 VW SUPER BEETLE

Being sold AS IS
Backstory: My husband purchased this car a year ago, because he always wanted an old original VW bug. Unfortunately, he knows little to nothing about cars and has done little with this vehicle. It was more fun for him to buy it, and the nostalgia and fun has worn off, so I am selling it.

The car can be driven. At present time, battery just needs to be charged. Engine would need a tune up. I wouldn't recommend driving it really far. But I hope the person that buys this vehicle actually knows something about them.
Color is baby blue, has been repainted at some point. Back engine hood was replaced from another vehicle before we bought it (it was a different color) and my husband at least painted it to match (sort of match).
There is a lot of interior wear and deterioration. Would need a lot of restoration work.
The seals around the windows are deteriorating.
The bumper (both front and back) have bends in that needs pounding down, because of a tow rope tied around the bumper.
This was a smoker's car, so it smells like an old car and old smoke. Could dissipate with cleaning/restoration.
Best part about the car is that the engine was updated by the previous owner.
I put mileage as 250,575 but I really don't know. It reads "50,575" but who's to say how many times it has rolled over. ???
Please look over photos carefully. Ask any questions you may have. When I respond, I will post to the listing for others to see as well. If bidding, I hope you have experience with these or similar cars, since there is a very big difference in this and the cars of today.
