1976 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westy camper Additional Info:

All original unmolested survivor bus believed to be 77K original miles from 2 previous owners. This bus was originally purchased in CO Springs, CO and has lived its entire life in the Desert Southwest of CO and NM which means ZERO rust issues for you East coast or Midwest hippies who have rusted out VW's.I found this bus on an old hippie farm South of Durango, CO on the side of a barn but covered. The drivers side rear quarter was exposed to the elements and sun more than any other part of the van causing what I can only describe as a sunburn otherwise the van is in original paint with no touch-ups or bodywork ever done to it. The body is super straight and paint still has a glossy finish to it.
The interior is super clean and still in original condition except for the swivel table that was left out in the weather and de-laminated. I did refinish the table top the interior green color so it could be used as intended. There are no tears in seats, seat cushions, curtains, canvas tent or the carpet. The dash is in excellent condition with 2 very small cracks that are hard to find. The black molding around cabinetry has started to shrink and shrivel in some areas there is also slight de-lamination of some of the laminate that is easily fixable. It doesn't effect anything from opening or closing correctly but I'm trying to make the new buyer 100% aware of what will be showing up on delivery. The following maintenance has been done recently to make the bus road trip worthy:New battery, alternator and beltNew fuel pump, fuel relay, fuel lines and fuel filterNew cap, rotor, condenser and plugsNew 40,000 mile tires (280 miles on them)New window regulator and window felts
I just made a 250 mile round trip drive from Aztec, NM to Ouray, CO to see the fall colors and she was flawless the engine fires 1st crank every time, idles smooth and runs and shifts better than any other VW I have owned. The brakes are good but expect typical VW braking of the era.
Everything on the bus works perfectly headlights hi/low, turn signals, marker lights, reverse lights, interior lights, dash lights, fuel gauge, AM radio (original), power AC unit, DC plug for car chargers (aftermarket), rear defroster, hazards, wipers and the heater/heater controls.
I also have a few parts that will go with the bus and are pictured:5 extra VW original hubcaps, 2 tires and VW wheels, the original jack and tool kit is in the plastic bag, extra Bosch distributor, dish set, brand new propane stove and other misc goodies.
I have been tracking bus sales for the last couple months and believe this is one of the cleaner all original specimens out there with lower miles. I have sold many vehicles via Ebay and I try to describe as accurately as possible, most people say there vehicle on delivery is nicer than described. I will help with shipping anyway I can and storage after purchase is locked in my shop on my property. I am trying the Buy It Now format for the 1st time and will pay 50% of the shipping cost in the lower 48 states if someone purchases this way. Otherwise bidding as usual with what I consider a much lower reserve than what I've seen these classics go for the last 60 days. I do have the bus for sale locally so reserve the right to end auction if reserve is not met. I can only put 24 pictures of the van being a private seller so if you would like a specific picture please email requests and questions. Happy bidding!
