1970 Sunroof Deluxe. 74,581 documented original miles... I was able to verify the actual mileage by the maintance and repair receipts from new in till it was parked around 1990 (see below). This is a one owner bus. Rare and desirable color (Delta Green L610). I have the original purchase documents from the dealer ship were it was purchased in Tuscon Arizona, then the family moved to El Cajun California in the 80's, then to Moiser Oregon. This van appears to have one repaint in its original color. I have the original title, manuals, jack, and complete tool kit. Freshly rebuilt motor. The motor runs great. New front and rear wheel cylinders, brakes and master cylinder. The sunroof mech. has been completely rebuilt and opens and closes easily. The van has its original middle and rear seats in excellent condition with no rips. The front seats are original to the bus as well with some wear showing on the driver side and could use a cleaning. I have the original door panels. All of the interior panels have been recently replaced with new panels. The rear bumper and splash pans areincluded, however the rear bumper das a dent. The headliner is in very good condition, it could use a good cleaning. The original working radio still works. The dash is perfect with no cracks. I have the complete repair and maintenance history (well over 100 pages) dating back to 1974. When the van was purchased the dealer installed Ziebart, a rust proof coating that was commonly used on vehicles. The deluxe trim is in excellent condition. The van is very solid with minor rust. The van has rust on the left side lower rocker, battery tray, and small area on the front floor board and windshield corners. The cargo floor, doglegs, doors, hatch and gutters are solid. The nose skin was replaced in the late 80's by a profession body shop. They did a good job,I do have the receipt for that as well. Although this van runs, drives and stops, it has not been driven regularly since the 90's and will need minor misc work to make it a daily driver. As I mentioned the motor has been freshly rebuilt and runs excellent. New clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. The transmission appears to have been rebuilt as well as its spotless and shifts perfectly. Brakes have been gone through, gas tank cleaned. All electrical seems to work good. CV boots are in good condition. The van has been started and driven around the block over the last several years to keep every thing in good working order. With a little work this would make a great daily driver or a solid basis for a restoration.
This is a rare bus. They did not make many sunroof deluxe buses, let alone a Delta Green sunroof deluxe. This van has only one owner since new. The mileage is 74,581 original miles and its documented by the complete maintenance history. Regretfully selling to fund another project.
