1971 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

My dad bought this car from the original owner six months after he bought it in 1972. And it has been in our family ever since. It was his daily driver to and from the Air Force base for as long as I can remember. About 20 years ago, he did a full restoration- sparing little expense including: new paint, shocks, brakes, tires and 15" sport chrome wheels, luggage rack, new seat covers, headliner, deluxe carpet kit and heavy duty coconut fiber floor mats front and rear. It has been sitting in my sister's garage for the last 17 years. There is some surface rust on the inside bumpers, wheels and muffler. There are a few paint cracks, chips, rust spots, and bubbles- all no bigger than a nickel. I am told the A/C needs compressor. Dodgy paint spot on the passenger side roof and small scratches on right front fender ( pictured) is about all I can find wrong. The rare 'pop out' rear windows, double Hella horns, front air scoope, original Sapphire XV radio, and ultra rare factory A/C make this cool bug very collectible. 93,000 original miles and less than 2,000 miles on the rebuilt engine clutch, and carburetor. Starts right up. Runs real strong and shifts smooth. Floor pan is in excellent condition. New battery and everything else works great. Lots of documentation and receipts- including the actual bill of sale from Dick Conine VW in San Antonio, Texas April 1971 This is a well loved, very rare, super original, super beetle. We simply have no space to store anymore, and we really hope she finds a good home.
