1973 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

You're bidding on a 73 Super Beetle that I bought from a mans private collection. Unfortunately I am having to sell it because my other bug did not sell and I have no room for 2.
This is an older restoration with some custom work done. Custom work such asadaptor for older style vw rims, custombumper brackets, after market headlights, aftermarket clear lens in turn signals and custom tail lights. Also the lowering of the car and upgraded running boards as shown. The paint is in great shape for its age. It has very few surface rust spots under the paint, which are shown in the pictures. The floor pans and the body itself are in great shape. No rust to speak of anywhere except it looks like its had a little rust in the floor pan under where the battery goes. Outside of that the floor pans are very solid. Also the bumpers are showing a minimal amount of rust but still look great. The interior is in good shape. The headliner has no tears whatsoever. The front seats could use some new cushion under them to make them excellent. The carpet is in great shape. The seatbelts work and retract as they should which is a rarity. It also has back seatbelts as well.Outside the cracks that are in the dash, the overall interior is in above average shape. (I do havea plastic replacement cover for the dash, I just havent glued it in).
All the glass is in great shape. The headlights, tail lights, brake lights, fan motor, wipers, and horn all work as they should. The blinkers however; do not work, nor do the emergency flashers. I have taken a look at it, and it appears not to have a flasher. Im hoping that is the issue but not sure. The car has a very nice shifter in it. The engine probably could use a valve adjustment because I hear them a little at certain rpms. The engine is equipped with a 2 barrell carbuerator and electronic ignition. Very nice muffler. Heater boxes are in good shape. The car drives and rides very good. I have only filled the car up with gas one time, and noticed the smell of gas but have checked everywhere and can find no leaks. Haven't taken the time to figure out what causes this. The fuel gauge also does not work. The brakes are very good. The e-brake works fine. I have noticed when you apply the brakes the front end shimmeys but only when applying the brakes. Seems to me like a wheel cylindar might be sticking up front on the brakes causing this. The only thing I have done is put new shocks on the rear due to a little scrubbing. Now the car scrubs nowhere.
From 10 feet away, this car looks like a show car but it is definitely not perfect. Like I said, it is an older restoration which is starting to show a little of its age. Outside of thinking it needs a valve adjustment the engine appears to run very good and strong. The transmission shifts as it should with all synchronizers working as they should.I havent had the car long, so I cant really represent the car the way I would like.Overall this is a pretty solid car and shows itself very well. Very cool looking car and very fun to drive. Also have clear GA title on this car.
****Also have another bug I'm about to list, with an 1835 CC Turbo Charged Engine. Brand new car. Unfortunately one of them has to go. Will be listing soon. Happy Bidding!!!!
