• This Classic 1989 Volkswagen Fox GL 2-dr. Coupe is in remarkable condition considering it`s age. Very sporty looking, zippy and fun to drive. Great on gas. Was manufactured in Brazil.
• When we acquired this car the previous owner had started to bring it up to date with new components. Started, by putting it up on blocks, had taken the wheels off, period. That is as far as he had gotten besides ordering some new parts. It remained that way for 8 years till we dragged it home. Over this past winter we carefully went thru it and brought it back to life. Next the list of parts and work done on this car.
• First, this car had little to no rust. It had a tired paint job so we did respray it. We did remove bumpers, sandblasted those and repainted them. That was only rust found on car. Did not do a thing to the interior of the trunk, which you will see shows how good this car is. Interior needed cleaning mostly, few trim pieces were loose, refastened them. Sunroof was fiberglass piece glued into the hole. That probably was the worst, trying to find the glass replacement. Not many of these around. Found good resources for all the parts needed.
• Okay, parts installed, new battery, water pump, clutch kit, ball joints right and left., master cylinder, gas fuel filters and injector, fuel hose, pre-fuel pump, fuel accumulator, rear fuel pump, timing belt, hoses pump and pipe, D. shaft right and left, seal output flange, brake kit, rubber boot for steering arm, misc. gaskets and seals, tension pulley, Hose kit, Belt, kit, MTU kit, Exhaust kit (hangers), New front axles, all new brakes, drums, calipers, rotors, pads and shoes, new rear bearings, new emergency brake cable, new brake rubber hoses, wiper blades. Tires are 90%. Cleaned out gas tank and resealed it.
• Car came with great car cover, obvious previous owner took good care of this car. Has complete repair and shop manual, maintenance manual, along with a sales brochure.
• This car is sold as is with no warranty. I have tried to describe the best I could and hopefully did not forget anything. Car is advertised locally so have the right to end auction early. Please be sure of your bidding, no refunds.
• Deposit of $500.00 required with-in 24 hrs. of auction close, non-refundable via Pay-Pal. Balance due with-in 3 days via PayPal or arrangements withseller for cashiers check or cash at pick-up of vehicle. Vehicle to be picked up with-in 2 weeks of sale or storage charges will be added onto sale price.
