1964 Volkswagen Kombi 23 Window Bus

Blue as the Pacific Ocean

I have up for sale my pristine fine ride.

Very nice 23 window bus with Safari windows front and back and pop out side windows. Full folding Rag top like new. Unlike a 21 window bus, the 23 window bus has the corner rear windows that leave no blind spots when looking through the rear view mirror.

As you can see thetotalfloors of the bus shows no signs of rust. This is a solid bus. Rubber mats are laid down before the carpet was applied.

(see pics)

The total roof surface was insulated with dense one inch thick foam before a new full headliner was installed professionally by a reputable upholstery shop of high end cars. All the off white upholsteryis in excellentcondition.with only a couple small tears on the back of the back seat. (see pics)

VW Sky blue and Oyster white paint shows very well. I cant think of a better color combination for my bus. Matching painted white bumpers front and back. All 4 whitewall tires in excellentshape with chrome VW hubcaps and a new spare tire behind the front seat.

Inside the detailed engine compartment you will find a rebuilt 1500cc Volkswagen 4-cylinder engine with less than 5,000 miles that starts on one turn of the key. Runs very strong! The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all 4 gears as well as downshifting. You wont find this buspoppingout of gears. I could drive this bus across the USA in a heartbeat! Very reliable and great on gas.

When I bought the bus it came with curtains installed, I removed them because I like the no obstruction look throughall the beautiful windows. The curtains willgo with the bus. I am told that because the Vin number contains a "B" in it that this bus originated in Brazil. I am also told that when Germany stopped building thesebeautifulbuses, they sent the tooling to Brazil and they continued to build them for many more years. I have owned inpreviousyears the beetle version made in Mexico and like the buses see nodifferencein the builds

This bus needs nothing. Both headlights, blinkersand brake lights work flawlessly. Two things I was going to add were a nice sound system without cutting the originaldash, and thin real wood paneling on the inside. I never found the time. I have a battery shutoff mounted with a black turn knob next to battery. (see pic)

You will get your share of thumbs up. Everyone loves this bus, young and old. I am selling my bus out of a collection of fine cars that I have. I just do not have the proper space to keep it so it must be sold. The new owner will have no disappointments. I would love to keep it for one more summer!

Im sure I don’t need to tell you what these buses are bringing so at this price its a most desirable investment, There is a remote alarm system hooked up.

I urge you to call and make an appointment to come and take a test drive. You will love it! Bus comes with clean California title in my name. I reserve the right to sell it locally.
