1968 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

For sale is a VW Bug 1968 model year (california model), with 70% original paint.
It has original sunroof and pop out windows.
It comes with a removed 1600cc single port engine that has been partially dismantled for inspection. Engine needs a top end rebuild.
Most parts of engine are included except : Doghouse, generator, and starter.
The body is 80% solid with rust problems in the middle of the trunk, at the water drain area.
The floors are having rust. They do not need replacement but a very good treatment. There are few holes in passenger area that can be patched after the treatment. The heater channels are solid. For a show restoration i would recommend a pan off job.
However you can leave as is for a daily drive. Doors are very solid. Chrome trims are dull.Seats are available but the upholstery is ruined.
The hood has been replaced and it differs in color.
Another area that needs attention is the battery place. The front end has had a small collision and it will need a pulling. Only a little body damage as it is usual in front apron.
I bought this bug with the intention to restore the pans and not paint the body. I am against on painting cars.
After fixing the areas i mentioned, you will have a perfect bug and your money in.
Car has unkown mileage and it comes with California Pink slip and a bill of sale to my name. You will receive those, plus a bill of sale to the next buyer from me.
Car must be picked up at a buyers expense within 10 days of auction end. It is located in Sanford, FL 32771.
