1982 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Jetta swapped 1.8 liter motor with 8K, NO RESERVE Additional Info:

Reselling this well preserved 1982 Volkswagen Westfalia with a Jetta 1.8 liter, uel injected engine. Winning bidders has a new baby coming and camping is not in the cards for him. Engine was installed at a cost of $12,389(see receipt). This is the best choice to keep your German vehicle all German. The Westfalia has traveled a whole 131,775. Engine was installed at 123,733 according to the receipt. It runs great. Previous owner had a lot of work performed, ransaxle was also overhauled at the time of engine installation and the clutch was changed out too. In my opinion and I have driven both the Subaru engine Westfalia's and this particular one, y preference is for the Jetta option. Although I like Japanese cars, nbsp;the Westfalia's are better served by this option to keep it as German as possible. Just kidding, like them both. It is registered as a 1982 Volkswagen Vangaon Diesel and is exempt for emissions in our state. It now has a 1.8 liter Jetta, uel injected motor that was installed by International Auto Service of Livermore, A, BAR(Bureau of Automotive Repair) certified shop. Their BAR # is ARD 207564. This was not some "backyard" job. The previous owner went through the complete drive train and paid, 12,389.28, he invoice is attached in the auction. It has only had 8,000 miles driven on the Jetta motor since the swap. It runs great and shifts great too. The poptop is a few years old according to the previous owner. It is the three window version and is more gray in color. The paint still shines on this old Westy and it has picked up some battle scars at the campground along the was. The passenger rear wheel arch has some scraping as does the sliding door on the bottom. The rear bumper is custom built to allow for a bike rack to be attached. The interior is incredible. The front seats had sheepskin covers on them the entire time. I just removed them today and tossed them as they were old and smelly. The z-bed folds flat, he upper bunk is nice and clean. The stove, ink and fridge are all present and according to the previous owner, hey work. Every curtain, creen and cover is present to keep the light out so you can have a good nights rest. The all important porta potty has been sourced and is included with the sale. Also has solar panels on the roof to power your gadgets. The sliding door net has also been sourced, rand new from GoWesty. It is registered as a 1982 Volkswagen Vangaon Diesel and is exempt for emissions in our state. It did not go past the half way mark on the temp gauge. Selling this beauty for NO RESERVE. Final bid gets to own this beauty.
