1962 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Rag top Additional Info:

Entirely tasteful, super rare flat black beauty rag top bug. Old bugs are hard to come by in as great of shape as this one. Cars that have been 'altered' to a level of 'custom' can easily ruin a beautiful car if not done tastefully. This is an excellent exception to that unfortunate trend as it has been beautifully done to still grip its classic appeal while adding a touch of attitude. Blacked out rims, lowered to a derivable stance, custom done interior, excellent flat paint. The flat black paint is not your backyard spray can or 'plasti-dip' jobber. The car was skillfully painted with an awesome matte finish paint that really makes the chrome and contrast POP. Just enough throaty tone from the exhaust exhales for the tuned, updated motor still boasting dual carbs for modern driving and some chrome accents for just enough shine but still keeping most of its original appearance. This is not some over tuned monster that takes tons of maintenance, its still the old reliable bug you're hoping to revisit. At least as it sits today, to each their own! Careful consideration was given to the color scheme to the interior, through to the exterior all the way to the rag top. Slight driver blemishes here and there but nothing stands in the way of grabbing compliments or trophies from the local cruise night shows. No rust repairs to plan for now or near future, this car is really a get in get to know and go car. You can literally park this next to a $100k car and its the one that gets the crowd almost every single time. Gaps are perfect, doors shut excellent. Block offs in back can be removed and carbs fit snug. SOLID. Pans are excellent, rockers excellent, channels excellent, seats good, drip rails good, windows good, its just a really really solid bug... with a factory rag. I drove it this last summer all over town, participated in a few photo shoots for hire, and loved every moment. I really hope it finds the right home and know whoever winds up with her will be happy with the car and likely be the cooled bug of the crew they might be apart of. Rag top opens and closes as it should with mostly original Golde parts. Comes with new in box uninstalled retro look radio (looks OG but is modern and has aux in etc without looking like a Walmart cd deck!) Uncut dash. Runs great, shifts great, stops. In full disclosure, and this should be no surprise to anyone that owns old cars and or aircooled trophies like the one in question, she has been sitting the last couple months (unfortunately moving somewhere with reasonable weather is against 'family rules!') so suspect a slight tune up or so to get her to daily confidence. That said, she started up Monday and went down the road same as she did in the fall. I'll miss the bug, and its undeniable attitude, and will likely look to build another some time down the road. The new owner will be lucky to have it and you wont see another quite the same any time too soon.
Boring legal 'because you have to" stuff: Car is being sold as is. Deposit non refundable, within reason. Please ask all questions of which I will be more than happy to answer before you bid. Car is being sold as I have a p-car project that needs a little (ok a lot) more money than I was hoping uncle sam was going to dish out this year (assuming the same goes for most!). Shipping is buyers responsibility however I will of course help organize and or coordinate with your shipper best I can. In person pick-up?! Even easier. I've shipped cars, (and buses :) a few times (as a buyer and seller) and will help where I can to make sure it goes super smooth. Deposit done through paypal OK however full payment preferred by wire cash or check. Car leaves the garage once cleared. If you need paypal you will have to cover fees of course but willing to do whatever works. All inspections welcome and encouraged! I would prefer not to store the car any longer than 3 weeks post auction as I am paying for storage, any time after that will be $25/week to the buyer. At the end of the day if we're communicating I will be reasonable with this but a couple years back I ended up with a car for 6 months after it sold... don't want that again! Please feel free to see any feedback I have as I am a very reasonable guy and take pride in being a part of the rest of you classic car folks out there.

Following a few questions, I wanted to confirm that there is in fact an open title in hand ready to go. Shipping over the pond is no issue! Good luck
