1990 Volkswagen Cabrio bestseller Additional Info:

This is a 1990 VW cabriolet. Original mileage is 64,234 ***Carfax verified. I went through this car in order to make it a solid daily driver. I still like it, but have too many vehicles. I am hesitant to sell, due to the amount of work and money invested. There are other pics, but I'm only allowed 24. It has just recently passed California smog, waiting for newest tags in the mail. Here is what has been done (all this year):New top from Chuck's convertibles, New top pad (horsehair as original, imported from Germany).Full service of the top joints and cables. Power windows adjusted to seal correctly, window switches work correctly. New paint on front bumper and flares done by professional shop. Many nos VW parts sourced from Germany, England, and France. Some of which are: rock guard decals, cladding/body flare seals(white), Karmann badges, and many more.Original windshield was saved and re-sealed the correct way with glue and seal as this is an airbag car. Airbag system is functioning and cycles. A/C, Lighting, and gauges all work correctly.Engine: NEW-water pump, timing belt kit, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, Battery, battery ground cable(nos VW), all belts, all hoses, complete exhaust system (with cat), thermostat, all sensors, radiator fan switch, radiator, expansion tank, air cleaner, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, Throttle body cleaned. 3 of the 4 motor mounts have been replaced. New in tank fuel pump and I have a new external fuel pump as a backup. Fuel filter has been replaced as well.Trans.-trans has been serviced with new filter and fluid. Shifts nice and solid. I have to point out I do not know the status of the trans to diff. seal. These are prone to failure over time. It has not been changed since my ownership. All fluids used are amsoil or swepco.I changed the following even though some seemed ok due to low mileage: Both control arms and bushings, all 4 new cv boots and joints(2), drive axle flange seals, and new ball joints. Complete alignment done last week.Brakes: have been flushed and NEW rotors, pads, drums, flex lines, master cylinder.New front struts and rear shocks. It has an original vw top boot cover. Comes with extra set of BBS original VW dealer accessory rims/wheels and the silly cassette holder that goes in the dash. I have many receipts for all the parts, etc. It has a custom car cover and extra parts.Drivers seat has a little bit of wear on outer bolster and small burn? hole 1/4". Bolster is strong and firm.
