1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

This 1986 Vanagon Westfalia "Weekender" is the pop top camper without the stove and fridge.
I bought this about two years ago and have enjoyed it for two summers. Moving, need to sell. Former owner painted it and reupholstered the seats. Have not done anything to it mechanically other than replacing the water pump and installing a new GoWesty instrument wiring harness, and replaced some leaky gas lines. The engine has always run strong, but I do not know the history.
Has $2200 worth of new 15" VanCafe/GoWesty Eurolook rims with Michelin Defender tires (the light truck version of the tire that has the higher load rating).
It needs axel boots. The axles are still in good condition.
It's clean and beautiful but has some warts. A couple small holes in an otherwise very clean and well maintained tent. A passenger window that needs help to roll-up. The top of the front dash is very sun dried and cracked, but well hidden under the nice GoWesty cover. The front heater fan or switch just died. Still produces adequate heat. Manual trans and clutch feel good. I have made many little interior improvements and I need someone to take over care for this one, and I am sure you will enjoy it.
Just passed California Smog Test. Sold AS-IS.
