1973 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

Up for auction is my 1973 Volkswagen 15 window bus. This nice combo is in pretty good shape and I would consider to be an excellent driver.

PLEASE NOTE: A very common question that has been raised is: " I thoughtVW stoppedmaking the split front window in 1967" ? This is true for German made buses, owever Brazilian manufactured15 window with a split front windshield buses were produced up until 1975, hich is what I am offering here.

Production in Germany: 1950-1967

Production in Brail: 1950-1975

This bus was a recipient of a pretty good paint job and nice interior that has held up fairly good. I have highlighted the body blemishes in my photos which I have posted about 75 so please take the time to thoroughly review all of them. This bus runs very well, nd is a 1500CC engine which doesn't burn or leak oil; it has a nice dry undercarriage/engine. As I highlighted in the photos the bumper has some spots that have been brush touched. The speedo, uel gauge and odometer are functional as well as exterior lighting.

The clutch is strong, oesn't chatter and works as it should. The gearbox shifts smooth and stays in gear as it should. The parking brake is functional. The braking system is very strong. Tires are in fair shape. This is a deluxe version with the side molding, pholstered spare tire cover and a headliner. The middle bench was recently reupholstered but is just resting in place and not fixed to the floor pan.

The undercarriage is pretty average and is solid. There is a little rust in one of the floor braces which I have photographed.Inner and outer rocker panels are good.Although the bus is not perfect it is a very respectable driver and will draw a crowd wherever it goes.
