This GT6 represents a great opportunity for the GT6 enthusiast to complete the restoration that was started over 20 years ago. The previous owner started a "frame off" restoration that was never completed.
The body had been removed from the frame for the restoration and at that time the frame had been painted and treated as shown in the pictures. The underside/floor treatment has become brittle and is chipping is places and should be redone. The body had been painted and then assembled back on the frame. Unfortunately the Triumph was not covered after the paint work, and really should be repainted again. As the pictures show, the floors, frame and rocker panels are in very good condition. The body is very straight and the panel fit is excellent including the nose panel. Doors and hatch both close nicely as well. Does have a sunroof. Bumpers are in good condition.
Mechanically the GT6 will need to be gone through. I was told that the engine had been gone through, however I did not get any documentation to support that. I cannot say with certainty that it was rebuilt. The engine does turn freely. The transmission shifts into all of the gears. Car rolls easily. Needs ignition switch and keys. The radiator and alternator and some other misc parts are missing including exterior door handle linkage, marker lights & front blinkers.
The interior will need to be restored as shown in the pictures. It will require an interior kit and also a new headliner.
There are also some misc parts not pictured that are included in the sale.
