1971 Triumph TR-6 Additional Info:

My garage kept 1971 Triumph TR-6 .
Condition is Used. The car has been repainted. I would say 6-7 years ago, I've owned it for about 5.
I put the Dayton stainless wire wheels on right away, with new hubs, both from the Roadster Factory. The tires are 165/80R15 Nanking's with a date code of the 39th week of 2015.There is also a new dashboard installed from the Roadster Factory. I also installed the secondary hood latch release that allows you to open the hood easily in the case of a broken release cable.
The carpet and seats are in quite surprising condition. I suspect they are original.
The joint at the rear fender and the deck has some bubbling in the paint as well as near the rear bumper.
Nothing severe, no holes rusted through, but a flaw to point out.
Another is the floor. The drivers side has a 3-4 small holes. 1/4 x 1 inch max. The passengers side is still fine.
There a few chips in the paint and a couple places where it has peeled and is missing. Like inside the drivers door.
It drives quite well considering it is nearly 50 years old. No shaking or pulling as you drive.
The engine has around 500 miles on a fresh rebuild. It has NGK wire wound spark plug wires and new Champion plugs.
The piston bores were bored oversize by .020. The crankshaft mains and throws are .010 undersize. The head got new guides and valve guide seals. I used County pistons and King bearings. ARP rod bolts and head studs. The camshaft is stock.
It all works as it should and fires right up when you hit the key.I'd still be driving it except I found a real nice Willys Jeep Pickup with a 226 cubic inch flat head six. Bye Bye TR6.....
