Take a close look at this awesome vintage Triumph, you could be cool like the King of Cool himself Steve McQueen. He had a fondness for motorcycles and even competed on a Triumph motorcycle in the 1964 International Six Day Trials. The motorcycles used in some scenes of the movie The Great Escape were Triumphs disguised as BMW's. This TR6R is a bike that is in great condition and shows just shy of 3,680 miles on the clock.
This bike has a classic look with just the right amount of chrome trim throughout. The extra chrome trim down the center of the tank and on the Triumph badge give this bike a classier look. A two-tone tank finished in white and teal with gold pinstriping between the two colors adds a little flair to the bike. An easy way to spot a TR6R is the low mounted exhaust pipes.
a 650cc two cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual transmission and gear selection made with the rider's right foot. From what we've found, approximately 3,500 Tigers were produced for the '72 model year which was the last year before axed the TR6R and added a new engine and model combination for '73. Recent maintenance includes an oil change, oil pump repair, new gaskets, and cleaned sump pump.
Be the King of Cool in your neighborhood on this TR6R! This low mileage classic British bike is ready to take you on a brief escape from the daily grind.
