1974 Triumph TR-6 Additional Info:

1974 Triumph TR6 equipped with a color-matched hardtop. The original overdrive-equipped 4-speed was replaced with a an HVDA Toyota 5-speed and hydraulic clutch. The sale includesa stack of invoices dating back 20 years, which includes the original window sticker.

The car was repainted in its original French Blue in 1997. The PPG Deltron which still looks excellent with good shine over a rust-free body. Imperfections are limited to a few rock chips on the nose, as well as a ding in the lower rear valance. There are a couple of scratches on the driver’s side rear quarter noted in my Google album.

The door panels and dash are in excellent condition. The hardtop fits well. Though the car does not have a soft top or frame, the original tonneau and a new Robbins tonneau with fitting kit are included in the sale. The history on the car shows that the odometer was replaced, and the mileage shown is not original. We do not know the correct mileage.

A previous owner had theseats rebuilt with new foam kits and alllighting was converted to LEDs. Receipts show the wiring harness was replaced by a previous owner, and all switches, gauges, and electricsare said to work.

The2.5L 12-valve inline 6-cylinder runs well. I drove through Phoenix and Scottsdale for over 2 hours in 110 degree heat. The tempo stayed at ¾. I experienced no pinging or hesitation. We have a compression test from 2017 with readings averaging 105. Since 2013, thevalve cover and radiator shroud have been refurbished, some heater cables have been replaced, and the carburetors were tuned. The front end has been rebuilt with new control arm bushings, and end links. Tires are brand new Michelin Premiers.

The included original window stickershowsdelivery to a Seattle Triumph dealer, options list, and a purchase price of $5,261. Also included are spare belts, hoses, filters, and service records going back to1995. The tool roll is complete, and there is a new jack. The spare is in as new condition.

Please understand this is not a concourserestored car. It is a very well maintainedand kept up driver that looks far better then driver quality upon inspection. It runs and drives very nicelyeven in the harshestof Arizona heat.
