1960 Triumph TR3 1960 TRIUMPH TR3A. Additional Info:

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this nice and original Triumph TR3A. This car was just purchased from the state of Colorado from the nephew of it's second owner. The car is a highly original specimen that's only been painted once in it's original color. It comes with tons of documentation chronicling the car's life and is a rare find in it's well-preserved condition. The body on this car appears very good and straight with nice factory fitting panels. It's current paintwork is an older modest respray now showing some chips, scrapes, and dulling off. It's a more subdued satin finish, but actually looks quite attractive on this preservation/survivor type car and is in keeping with the rest of the car. Chromework is mostly original and older, with some very nice parts. The car's windshield looks excellent. The grille fits well. The car's interior is highly original and amazingly well-preserved including it's carpets, panel kit, factory rubber front floormats, dashboard. The seats are trimmed in the correct leather and pattern, and have been renewed at some point, probably in the 1980's. They're comfortable and look great. The softop is excellent and in newer condition.Mechanically, the car is in very good condition. The engine starts on the button after a bit of coaxing, getting the fuel up to the carbs. It runs well and has all the signs of a healthy unit such as good oil pressure and no smoke. The clutch and gearbox feel very good. The brakes take two pumps of the pedals, so most likely need an easy bleed. The car could benefit from some suspension/shocks tightening up as there are a few minor rattles while out on the road. Nevertheless, it's drives well overall and could benefit from a minor service, since it's been in storage recently. The car's underchassis looks very solid and normal for the car's age/mileage. The frame is exceptionally nice and straight.Overall, this very original / few owner TR3A with plenty of documentation is a rare find. It runs and drives well and can be enjoyed as is right away, and is an excellent preservation car for it's next caring and conscientious owner.
